You are invited to Glenbrook’s public consultation on proposals for the redevelopment of 215-219 Chester Road. We’re welcoming local residents, businesses, community groups and other interested parties to view the proposals, meet the project team and provide feedback before a planning application is submitted.

Glenbrook is bringing forward proposals that would deliver 162 high-quality new homes, together with new landscaped spaces and dedicated areas for play. The vision is to create an attractive, sustainable development that responds positively to Hulme’s character while delivering much-needed new homes.

New Hope International Ministry

The proposed development is arranged across two linear buildings, stepping down in height from Chester Road to Anne Nuttall Road to respond to the surrounding context.

The scheme comprises a six-storey building fronting Chester Road and a four-storey building to the rear, centred around a shared landscaped courtyard.

The scheme will provide approximately 162 sustainable new homes across a range of 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments.

The scheme will also provide:

Energy Efficient Homes - Designed to achieve minimum EPC B ratings for lower energy use and bills.
Fabric-First Design - High-performance insulation improves comfort and efficiency.
Renewable Energy - Roof-mounted solar panels generate clean electricity.
Sustainable Drainage - Planting and permeable surfaces help manage rainwater naturally.
Sustainable Travel - Excellent walking, cycling and public transport connections.
